German Intelligence Agency Launches Dog-Themed NFTs to Hunt for Cyber Talent
Reported by erica.stevenn (at gmail) | June 27th, 2023 @ 03:00 AM
The German intelligence agency, the Bundesnachrichtendienst
(BND), has launched a dog-themed non-fungible token (NFT)
collection to recruit cyber talent. The collection, called "Dogs of
BND," features 999 NFTs of dogs with different attributes, such as
background colors, outfits, and eyewear. The NFTs can only be
obtained by completing an on-chain treasure hunt, which involves
finding a character string that the BND posted on Instagram.
The BND's use of NFT development for recruitment is a sign of the
agency's interest in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. The
agency has said that it is looking for talent with skills in these
areas to help it combat cybercrime.
