#230 awaiting-patch
Nicklas Ramhöj

fill_in don't seam to have unicode support

Reported by Nicklas Ramhöj | April 24th, 2009 @ 05:40 AM

Cucumber line:
I fill in "Zoomnivå" with "13"

Step definition:
When /^I fill in "([^"])" with "([^"])"$/ do |field, value| fill_in(field, :with => value) end

<label for="map_box_zoom">Zoomnivå: </label> <input id="map_box_zoom" name="map_box[zoom]" size="30" type="text">

And I fill in "Zoomnivå" with "13"

  ed out after 10000ms (Selenium::CommandError)

When I do the exact same but for a label/input pair "Adress" it works perfectly!

(I should mention that Im in Selenium mode)

    I re-wrote the scenario to the following:

    Scenario: I want to create a map

      Given Im logged in as "superadmin"
         And Im connected to the internet
         And I have the "map" create overlay open
       When I fill in "Adress" with "Drottninggatan 21, Göteborg"
        And I fill in "map_box_zoom" with "13"
        And I press "Skapa"
      Then I should see a new "map" box

    Both of the "fill in" lines works now. The second line was the one that read I fill in "Zoomnivå" with "13 before.

    My webrat step (that came with the gem) looks like this: When /^I fill in "([^"])" with "([^"])"$/ do |field, value| fill_in(field, :with => value) end

    Hope that helps, Nicklas
