Don't care about inline elements in the response
Reported by iGEL | April 12th, 2009 @ 06:38 AM
In cucumber I wanted to check the response body for "Leader: xxx". But xxx is a link to the user page and I couldn't think of a way to test for that text.
My solution would be to ignore all or most inline elements in the response, like a, b, i, u, span or label. Usually you care about the text, not formating. So webrat shouldn't neither.

Can you please provide some specific html and code examples for this as I'm not quite sure what you mean. Thanks!
