Question mark placeholders

Reported by Zach Dennis | February 19th, 2009 @ 02:21 PM

I think Webrat should support the question mark placeholders that Rails introduced into assert_select. It is a very convenient and readable way to insert content into a selector string w/o having to worry about producing nasty interpolation #{} characters or mess around with quoting.

It seems like if its supported at a low-level like HaveXpath then HaveSelector and HaveTag can get it for free (and any other helpers which build on that foundation). IE:

response.should have_tag("form[action=?]", resources_path)

WYDT?

Zach, It's been a while and I wanted to know if you still thought that this was a good feature? I'm not sure what the use case for this would be, it might help if you provided a html and code example.
