Watir Adapter

A la #11, an adapter for Watir would be great. I'm certainly willing to work on it, but I don't quite understand the architecture.

    Hey Peter,

Luke Melia, my coworker who implemented the Selenium support, actually tried to support Watir first. He ran into some issues with SafariWatir not supporting the full Watir API, and I believe Watir just didn't have an easy way for Webrat to hook in the code it needs.

I'd be happy to accept a patch for Watir support if you can get it working, however. The crux of the work is being able to locate form fields using the same algorithm as Webrat (by label, often).

I'm going to put this on hold for now, but please let me know if you try and run into any questions/problems with the Webrat side of things. What about the architecture do you have questions about?

    Thanks,

    -Bryan
